Liked: Lots of gung ho action with true dogged determination to bring down the bad aliens. Nice touch to pit Japanese against USA in navel manoeuvres in Hawaii. Then bring Japs and Yanks together to fight the aliens. Gotta be a good thing there extending the brotherhood of man.

Ideal audience: Teenage boys or sons who are celebrating a sporting or physical achievement.

Not ideal: Glorifies war
